The difference is that Pavlik got up pretty quickly and was somewhat holding on and recovering. Taylor was slumped over in the corner like a junkie that just got the biggest fix of his life, he wasn't getting up, period.

Smoger let Miranda off the hook after that knockdown and he wouldnt give Taylor a chance....gimme a break, Smoger lets boxers fight to the death, and im sure he stopped this fight for all the right reasons

I never mentioned the end of the fight, Taylor was out, no chance, it was a good stoppage.

My beef (and it's not huge, but a beef) is that Smoger gave Pavlik way too much time after the KD. He actually stalled it at one point even more.

I blame Taylor for running out of gas, the guy has stamina issues, and he had Pavlik on ***** street and let him off.. it was his own fault.. and I do think he blew his load that round, and never was quite the same afterwards.

Honestly, the guy needs to work on his conditioning, it's his downfall.. he can't sustain attacks, and it's why a guy who has what honestly is really good power has so few KO's, he can't sustain attacks without gassing out. He gassed out so quickly that round it wasn't even funny.

That said, Pavlik is a bad KO waiting to happen with how high he keeps his chin. It does show how overrated Miranda was though, because Miranda couldn't do even what Taylor did to Pavlik.

JT is a ******..he did not take a knee as did the smarter Pavlik...he did not get aggressive when he had pavlik iced in the 2nd...Everytime Pavlik clinched JT..during that second round taylor hugged back.. as if to say..go ahead baby get all the rest you need. Instead of pushing his ass and hitting him which would of dropped his ass again.....JT is a ******...

I agree with you here. JT should have finished Pavlik in the 2nd round. What happened is JT became more cautious!? Wtf... I can sense that JT is not so aggressive to put Pavlik down. Either he doesn't have the heart of a champion or there is an agreement outside the ring. :huh

That was not a bull**** stoppage by any means. Taylor was badly hurt, getting hit over and over with brutal shots, and couldn't keep his hands up. Good stoppage and great win...7th round as I thought.

He's not much of a lesser fighter.
But when you have two fighters with sloppy defense the harder puncher with the biggest heart will usually win.
