Thats exactly what I kept saying ! Although I picked Kelly to TKO him but I wasn't expecting it to be like that.. TAYLOR SHOULD HAVE TOOK A KNEE WHEN HE WAS HURT BUT DIDN'T you could tell he still knew what was going on by the way he was moving his body left to right , but wasn't throwing punches back giving the ref no choice but to stop the fight.

I thought, at first, that the ref should have given a count, but upon seeing the replays, Taylor was ****ing FINISHED.

Good stoppage; Taylor never complained, either.

After being roused by his corner, I'm pretty sure Taylor said "Was I out?"

He wasn't getting up by 10, even if the ref stuttered.

    nice fight.

i knew JT was done when he got mugged and slumped on the corner post, but the ref should have at least counted him out and let him try to finish the fight standing up. if he still had enough to stand up but not enough to fight back, the ref would then wave off the fight.

    good rally by kelly pavlik.

At first I thought he at least deserved a count. However, Taylor was getting hit with a lot of clean shots trapped up on the ropes, and there was one hook that made him momentarily go to sleep, just like when Zertuche just went limp for that split moment against Pavlik. When that happens, the fight needs to stop. Otherwise you can have a Griffith-Kid Paret situation. So, in the final analysis, you can't fault Smoger for jumping in there.

Dude, he was out cold three punches before hte ref stopped it. The only reason he was standing was muscle memory. Taylor was flat out on his feet, and was out on the ground too when he fell, and came to about 20 seconds later and had no clue what happened.

My initial reaction was that the stoppage was premature. But with the replays it was obvious Taylor was out. He was bent at the waist, had taken a number of unanswered shots and was unable to defend himself. The ref made the right choice and protected a fighter who couldn't defend himself. Taylor didn't even try to get up when he did go down, he was simply out of it.
