yes you guessed it ,its another hatton fight

hatton has suffered a few losses on here recently and buchanan has lost to cervantes so this is a crossroads fight for the pair:D

hatton vs buchanan 12 rounds at lightwelterweight

Been waiting for this matchup..Buchanan w12 Hatton...no way Hatton slops his way to victory over Buchanan, even at lightwelter.

It's pissing me off that I know it's inevitable that a swarm of posters are going to hit this thread stating how 'Buchanan is overrated on the classic'.

We get it, you're trying to detract from Duran by talking down one of his most celebrated wins, with a view to arguing that Pacquiao>Duran....... And it's blatant.

Anyway, MR. B, on the fight, Buchanan has a lot of positives as far as styles go. But Hatton in his prime is a quality operator, depends if he can impose himself through to the end. Buchanan gave a good account of himself against Duran as it progressed, and Duran was able to impose himself against larger men. If they are the same size i pick Buchanan all day, and if size isn't an issue, then I clearly pick Buchanan.

buchanan is too scrawny to get to that weight class he is a skinny lightweight with mediocre power he could not even beat duran:think

that era was a weak era throughout all the weight classes compared to this era they ken would probably be a club fighter occasionally used as a sparring partner:think

I rate Ken highly and I'd pick him over Hatton but I think the style suits Hatton, not too much power and a smaller weaker man. Hatton could swarm all over him at times, wrestle and push him around. Ken is by far the superior boxer but he would engage Hatton so Ricky would get off shots and probably force Ken on the backfoot so he'd have to win a decision going away
