buglioni offered to fight Luke Blackledge on May 9th.

Sounds a good fight under normal circumstances, however considering It was offered the morning after watching Luke fight a 12 round war for the commonwealth then it's a bit cheeky.

You can imagine the camp Luke went through prior to the Cameron fight, he would need a rest , not straight back into camp for a fight at 3 weeks notice ..

Looks like a bit of smoke & mirrors to me ,

I thought Blackledge was a bit of a gym rat anyways.

Buglioni is nothing special so you needn't worry SS

Yeh Luke is fit as a fiddle, however... The Cameron fight was literally non stop for the full 12, and he's put some slog in... He needs a rest surely.

Yep totally agree with the comments about Buglioni being transparent, he's going nowhere fast. But speaking blunt here, Luke doesn't pack a great deal of stopping power & would likely go the distance with this... And after such a long camp, then the cameron fight , another 12 rounder Is a big ask IMO - regardless of who is in the other corner.

So for me I'd say luke is right to stear clear , however I'd back him 10/10 if the fight was say late may rather than 9th

I'm sure they can find another Latvian bricklayer for Buglioni.

It'll be a polish bricklayer or a Romanian cleaner this time round.

He's tweeted saying "3 contracts offered , to 3 title holders, 3 different excuses"

Am I right in thinking that 3/4 week notice to fight when you are holding a title is short notice? Regardless of whether said fighter has just fought a 12round fight? Surely this is all buglioni trying to impress people with his willingness to fight anyone - load of rubbish!

It's a complete con. Sadly he has a big fan base and those who are ignorant to the inner workings will see it as people ducking him.

Yeh that's my thinking exactly Sol' ... He's the most over rated fighter in the division & possibly even Britain when you look at his ability...

Shame the fight wasn't offered on better terms as Luke would take it & in my book get a solid win & add that wbo euro title ( I know it's a nif naf title but it adds a ranking with the wbo doesn't it.)
And to say blackledge never boxed a single amateur bout and has the commonwealth is some feat.

I like Blackledges dedication to the sport, he fights and spars all over europe.

He's only going to improve. Its a shame he never got the Paul Smith fight, as that would have put him on the perverbile map and I fancy his chances against him.

Yeh it's a massive shame. Thing about Luke is he's fearless & will engage with anyone (rocky fielding at 2 days notice)

But under alex Matvienko he's learning a lot, he's getting good sparring & he's coming on leaps and bounds.

I feel kev maree seen luke as limited to where he was at, fringe domestic , and was just cashing in where possible - abusing Luke's bravery & mentality .

Whereas Matvienko is a little wiser, little more crude - knows Luke's ability & is bringing him along nicely ..
