buncey is ****ing quality......more knowledge on boxing than most people, and he has real heart in the way he puts his views over..... anyone who doesnt like buncey is just jealous of the man..... YOU'RE THE MAN BUNCEY!
Totally agree with that but being a commentator or presenter is more than just knowledge and passion. Bunce works well with someone to bounce off
Indeed, this could be a really interesting time to be a boxing fan. Spenser Fearon and Hard Knocks are supposed to have some really big plans too. It's all good
Only thing that bugged me, and showed that he was actually there, was when he was trying to work out what had happened in the Cunningham bout, the TV pictures showed Vann explaining to the corner what was going on, Buncey was talking over this so I couldnt work out what was being said, if he'd have been in a studio watching the broadcast he would have heard this exchange and clammed up for a second to hear what was going on. Other than that minor quibble I quite enjoyed him, makes a nice change to hear a solitary voice commentating, like the old days!!
I enjoyed Bunces commentary. The single commentary was a nice change of pace. He didn't do much blow-by-blow commentary but like Bunce himself said, you need to do more than blow-by-blow when you are on your bill. Just listen to the Colonel Bob Sheridan who often commentates by himself. Im not to arsed with commentators telling me whats going on in the ring anyway. I can see for myself. I much prefer it when they talk tactics or tell you stories about the participants.
I enjoyed Bunce as a solo commentator more than I anticipated I would. Not much blow by blow, but I'm not fussed about that.
