burley arguably one of the all time great fighters(with limited footage to prove it) against the warrior hagler. who wins this matchup and why?

Well i'd probably take Hagler but i's not a fight that say in a series goes all the way of one fighter imo. On THE night though i'd go with Hagler personally, in his prime. Hagler constantly works nd keeps fighting no matter the range or impositions of his opponent. Burley wouldn't be offset or anything i don't think, because of his standing as a ring general, but i reckon he'd lose a fight on points

Man o man i like this fight. Ya gotta move on Marvin to beat him and i wonder about CBs ability to do this. Also, Marvs gotta be the bigger stronger guy.

Hagler had more problems when he faced opponents who would use speed, angles, counter punching and intelligent defense if we look at the Leonard/Duran fights. Well Burley would bring such intelligent ring craft and make it very tricky for Hagler. All the same I would lean towards a stronger, machine like Hagler grinding out a close decision

Based on 10 or so minutes of Burley - Oakland Billy Smith footage (which makes me no Burley expert), I'd give Burley a good chance of earning Hagler's respect with his power and controlling the distance to make it a very difficult fight. Just a thought, but I haven't seen enough of Burley to make a definitive call.
