As most people have said.. **** fight.. Total ****. Burns will have a field day. I'd of given Liam Walsh a much better chance than Scott Harrison

Only way I can see this is as a non title fight, and that aint happening either. The Harrison of 6 or so years ago would have been a great fight, and a real challenge, for the Burns of today. But now I can see it being stopped from happening.Scott didnt look good in his last one, apart from physically, and his age is against him, apart from other things. No chance.

Complete disgrace, doesn't even make sense financially if its held in the new arena, since it only holds 7,000 and Burns did more than that for the Mitchell fight, if the fight has to happen, it should at least be outdoors, Hampden, Parkhead and Ibrox are too big but Fir Park and New Broomfield are close enough to Glasgow and big enough to get a 20,000 crowd for the fight, with the June date fitting perfectly for either to be used. But Harrison has done nothing to deserve a shot, Burns should fight Demarco or the winner of Abril-Bogere in a WBO-IBF-WBA unification if his next fight is going to be in Scotland, those fights would do similar crowds, Broner can be ruled out because he won't travel.

    Ha. Hahaha. Haha. Ha.

What a disgrace. Could somebody be more undeserving?

Even in his prime Harrison would have got royally outclassed. He is overrated on here to Junior Witter proportions.

Harrison is a former WBO world champion at featherweight. Surely a big fight between two local and well known fighters at a big football ground would be a big seller and financially viable. :good I would like to see Harrison in another fight before though.

Hampden holds 52,000 and with the pitch and track they could get another 10,000 in but it doesn't really suit boxing because of the track around the pitch and the stands being relatively flat. Burns is a Celtic fan, so it makes no sense to have him fight at Ibrox, Celtic Park is an option, but the ring would probably have to be at one end of the pitch, not in the centre circle, because a Burns-Harrison fight wouldn't sell 60,000 tickets. They could get 20,000 in at New Broomfield, which would probably be enough or go to Fir Park, where with seating on the pitch, they would pass 20,000 easily.

As soon as Harrison gets a legit win under his belt then this becomes a good sell. In an ideal world Harrison needs to be a world title contender but in the disgrace that is boxing a legit domestic opponent will suffice, someone like Crolla.

Awful fight, a waste of time for Burns and an extra fight in his prime wasted.

He should be in big fights with the big boys from Vasquez onwards

There are plenty fight for Harrison out there to climb his way back up, much better matchups than him against Ricky

In fairness to Billy Nelson, Ricky's team don't make it easy for him to come on here and defend him.

Burns should just flat out refuse to fight him. It surely won't be sanctioned as a world title fight and it's not going to be fooling anyone, even the casual fan knows that Harrison is a spent force and an alcoholic!

It's almost insulting to even suggest that he is a legitimate opponent.

So Harrison struggles to beat 2 up and coming prospects after a gap of around 7 years and he in line for a World title shot! lmao!

Nearly 5 months since he last fought, the sign of someone on a comeback trail...and to be lined up to fight Ricky Burns....I like Burns but he will soon be overtaking Cleverly.
