Yea his performance against Indongo was bad, but he was not as his best weight class either. I think he has gotten over the jaw issie now though, I don't really see a problem with this fight at all to be honest. If Burns loses and badly then he will have to drop down a level or call it a day, if he wins he puts himself right back into the mix.
Linares has been knocked out 5 times and tasted the canvas on numerous occasions, not by KO artists either. This is winnable, obviously it's lose-able too, Linares has largely been a classy operator throughout his career so this is by no means an easy fight. Whilst Burns doesn't have KO power he can win this, I really hope he does and the two of them can then retire having had fantastic careers. Jorge will always be King Jorge and Ricky, well, he's a credit to the sport.
Aw well not that it would be missed by the majority on here m8. Price v chisora is all the rage along with dave allens rebirth to the fiery depths of area levels.
Heard rumours of some undercard fights which were not great TBH -- pity though as would have been good for Scotland to have Matchroom back again
I know Linares has lost a few recently by KO but he still is a level above Burns. I think it’ll be a similar fight Linares had vs Corolla he’ll just outclass him to a points decision.
Ricky won’t fight Ritson or Cordina or anyone like that. He wants to cash out against a decent name. I don’t think he’s willing to let his legacy be tarnished by a prospect.
