You have to be realistic about it though.

Burns sells out Arenas in the UK.

Matthyse vs Olesugun was a GREAT fight and it sold 300 tickets in the states.

Now, you say Burns needs to go over there to "be someone", in whos eyes? About a dozen people online?

Outside of Pacquiao and Floyd, American viewers just dont care anymore, the big selling fights over there involve Mexicans, or immigrant fanbases. The online community is a MINORITY. and most of the people online dont go to fights, or buy them on ppv or even pay for HBO etc, they watch them on illegal streams.

Why would burns care about the opinion of those people?

If it makes financial sense, Ricky will go over, but if it's going to be for chump change, in front of a half empty arena with a good chance of being robbed even if he does win, then forget it.

And again, I think Broner would win the fight.

But if he want's it, then he comes over. simple.

How many top Brits have Broner/Vasquez/Demarco fought? Hell how many top Europeans have they fought?!

Burns, Rees, Mitchell and Murray are in the top ten of the RING rankings. Duckers.

Why should Burns go to the US to fight Broner simply because Broner knows Al Haymon. Do achievements, titles, ticket sales and big wins mean nothing now?

Its still shocking how u still believe any european fighter has to go over to a country which , in reality , boxing is a dying sport , to be considered worthy of success. :-(

By no means can you write off Burns anymore, i think Burns pushes Broner all the way, troubles him with the jab and pressure on the ropes but Broner takes the decision 8-4 or 7-5.

Really hope this fight happens soon. Broner's used to bullying midgets, lets see how he does when the tables are turned....
