Who do you think takes this one? It's a tough one to call to be honest. Katsidis might have already been in one war to many and Burns may not be good enough to box at this level. Having said this I'm going to go for a Burns decision. Burns could outbox Katsidis like he did Martinez when Burns were also an underdog. Let me know what you think by voting on the poll. Cheers.

    Iam rooting for Burns.

    I think Katsidis brutalises him.

Unfortunately Burns isn't that much of a draw, and his promoter (whose name has been banned from the forum) is going to use him as a sacrificial lamb to set up the Katsidis - Mitchell rematch

Katsidis walks through him and ends it around 5.

I've a soft spot for Ricky because I trained at the same gym as him years ago when he'd lost his way a bit but this is a tough fight for him.Someone who trains at Nelson's gym told me last week Ricky's on fire at the new weight, but Katsidis is one of those guys who makes every punch count against non elite fighters.Ricky's best chance is Katsidis' lack of a jab, while that is Ricky's best weapon. It's one of those"head says Katsidis, heart says Ricky" fights.I'll be rooting for Ricky though,a real humble champ.

So if Burns wins it will be by decision and if Katsidis wins it will be by a stoppage - pretty much sums it up.

There does seem to be a school of thought that Ricky raises his game when the opponent offers a real threat as opposed to his last two challengers but going up in weight against Katsidis of all people just may be a jump too far.Hope I'm wrong though,Katsidis went down in my estimations when he chased Graham Earl for his homecoming fight.

Katsidis is too big, he'll walk him down and bomb him out.
I'm a big Ricky Burns fan actually, he comes from the same place were I visit family, I don't blame him for training there, there's literally nothing around.

I can see Burns moving and boxing, winning rounds off the backfoot, but common sense says Katsidis lands flush and is too big. Katsidis TKO 5.

Katsidis brings too much pressure and is too strong. Burns isn't a puncher and doesn't have a great jab or great movement.

    Katsidis TKO 6

Katsidis likes the interim WBO title
He has 7 fights with the interim WBO title on the line and one WBO title shot.

I think that Burns might have a chance, it really depends, i have heard a lot about him being a beast at the new weight, if thats true it bodes well, but Burns is going to have to fight assertivley off the back foot if that makes sense, he has to put some pop into his shots even as he keeps moving. Mitchell made the mistake of pulling his shots and basically bottling it, you have to make katsidis respect you, you have to hit him with hard punches.

With that said 65-35 katsidis imo

Hate to say it but Katsidis early-mid stoppage.
