Confirmed by the BBB of C. Apparently an agreement has been made between both parties and so purse bids have been suspended.

    Who you got?

    Burns,

Mitchel needs a lot of work and needs it before this fight. I know Roach will help him and improve him but IMO Burns is looking better and better all the time and Mitchell is looking stale and needs 2 fights at least before this. That lad who he fought on the Khan undercard wasn't great and he showed Mitchell up IMO.

Rob touched on this earlier. I'm glad it's happening becuase there will be no more questions for Mitchell to answer on the domestic scene and it also gives him a fight to work towards with Roach before jumping straight into a title shot. I reckon Mitchell wins and wins big. Late TKO for me:good.

The fact that Mitchell hasn't had a competitive fight in over a year could be a telling factor. Burns has been tested every few months against decent opposition.

Exactly mate. Props to Mitchell for taking this to be honest because a loss here is really bad for him and TBH I genuinely don't see anything but a loss either

A year ago i'd have said Mitchell all the way. However he's been inactive, and Burns has looked better with each fight - it's a pickem.

Loving the domestic scene at the moment.

That was my point. I don't see how he wins- I will also back it up on Boxpicks:yep:good. This is a forum, though, we are all entitled to our opinions. I just don't understand why more people are picking Burns.

Anyway, regardless of who wins- once again HUGE PROPS to another two British fighters for making the best domestic fight in their division happen: Brook-Jennings; Moore-Rhodes; Mitchell-Burns:yep:D.

EDIT: Kos, stop trolling my posts.

by the way the Board of Control said

SUPER FEATHERWEIGHT KEVIN MITCHELL (Holder) v RICKY BURNS
Following agreement being reached between the parties, purse bids were suspended.

this does not mean the fight is happening. becuase mitchell and burns are with the same promoter he can choose not to make the fight for now.

I was againt this fight for the future bacause I was assuming that Mitchell would be fighting burns with a world strap on the line.... it turns out that this is just a British title fight, which I'm fine with now. Mitchell should KO him inside 7 or 8 I reckon. Burns just ain't on that level.
