It's more I see his level pretty clearly. Who has he beaten? I'll grant you Murray, but Mitchell has done more than Rees, IMO - they're pretty similar.

Too many on here over-state Rees' abilities out of some sentimental fondness.

Surprised at this. I think it's a terrible fight for him. Vasquez, while having the worst style in the last century, has really got it down to a tee. Messy messy night for Burns and I think he could well lose.

Why is everyone rating Vasquez so highly all of a sudden.... His best win was a close decision vs Prescott... The man Mitchell mullered. ;)

I agree he's looked good in his last few fights but they've hardly been against top tier opposition?!?:huh

I'm glad that Burns is being tested though should be a good scrap and a great night of boxing. Well done fish eyes :good

only really close on the cards...not so much in the ring

he was actually criminally UNDER-RATED for so long and still is to an extent, so much so that when he beat Prescott, people were using that against Khan!! saying "look, Khan got Ko'd by a guy who just got schooled by a cab driver (Vaquez)"

sure no great wins per se but a few good ones, and as the reigning Euro champ in a top heavy division I think he's certainly top ten and deserves a shot, I think calling him a journeyman or mediocre is a little rough, he's much better under Lockett than he was under Enzo and thinks a lot more, with his experience and the fact that he's not giving up as much height as he usually does, I think with the right gameplan he has some tools to trouble Broner

No, only highlights, and he did as well as Mitchell to be fair, but many posters on here are claiming Mitchell to be British level..... :think

TBF,before he fought Quintera most on here were calling him the concensus #1 at the weight.
Then a poor(ish) performance and it was like he never existed.
Hold the front page.ESB in fickle boxing fans shocker!

So he struggled to win convincingly against an opponent that a limited british level fighter won handily against...

I'm just trying to figure why he's being rated so highly all of a sudden, he doesn't look special from the fights i've seen him in.
    :huh
