I am not a hater or a nuthugger, I don't really care about this guy if I am honest. But to pick up on a point you just made... I could tell you right now its my dream to fight in Vegas too... that would change nothing. The guy can say what he wants, but he still hasn't done it. You can't defend him about fighting in his home-town all the time just because he SAYS he wants to fight somewhere else...
Bute is a top 5 ticket in all of boxing. The guy is so entertaining. Yeah he only fights at home but perhaps if he held, headbutted, threw elbows and still went to boring decisions he would be more accepted by the American boxing public. Actually the home thing is pretty ridiculous as well. The last time I checked Montreal is pretty far from Rumania.
Every fighter especially if he is winning has his share of detractors and critics. You can't control them from posting hate messages but you can control your reaction to their messages. You might as well ignore their efforts.
Good performance by Bute, I watched it on Setanta television and it was the Showtime commentators, very unusually presented show, they were showing all of these shots of Bute hanging about the pool and training on a tennis court.. I can see why Bute fights in Montreal all the time, he seems to be revered like a God
Bute is solid. He is very cerebral in the ring and the best body puncher I have seen in 20years. He'd put up a good fight against any of the top super six.
