So Kessler, who has fought the who's who at 168 for years, is now supposed to be intimidated? Sure. ..just sayin.
If you want to sell your car for $5K but someone offers you $150 are you really going to try to negotiate with him?
I start negociations with you prior to my fight in March and take the time to invite you for that fight while organizing with SHOWTIME your presence on their broadcast team that night, because I know they want our fight to happen next just as much as I do. I sincerely want that fight to happen next or else I wouldn't have bothered to invite you over as my guest, etc... (Common sense for those that still possess it) We already verbally agreed to have Renan St-Juste (Southpaw with same Promo Team) as your tune -up fight in Denmark, followed by ours in the fall. At this point I make you a 1st official offer, not the greatest you've ever had but certainly a decent one based on the means at my disposal. What do you do from then on ? You actually have the nerve to ignore my calls. I also find out that you started pursuing the WBO route even before receiving my first offer. I later confirm my first infos by realizing you've decided to face a righty in Bouadla as your tune-up fight. I quickly understand you were never truly honest in your dealings with me. You've displayed a total lack of class and respect by all of a sudden turning your back on me after we've hosted your presence among us, etc... It immediately reminds me the kind of people Sauerland events were back in the days when we dealt with them... Snakes in business suits. It reminds us of the blatant corruption that our team had to suffer in the Eric Lucas fight against Beyer, etc. Then again....why should we expect any respect from people like that ? I know you're a true warrior but your team is full of **** and certainly don't believe in you anymore as much as you might think. Hence the WBO route to make sure they get extra pays before it's too late !!
Show us your numbers sir. We are waiting for real numbers for a long time. One rumorsaid 3M$, which I don't believe. Another one, coming from Bob Arum, who heard of it from we don't know who, was talking of 750K by Interbox, another amount by Showtime + Danish TV rights. Hard to think it would be less than 1,5M$ all together. That's not lowballing. That's called a good start for a negociation. Unless you have some other numbers to show us, your comparison is plain stupid.
you're reaching or just very naive bute made an offer that was nowhere near the same ballpark kessler had expected
1 Danish Krone = 0.18 Canadian Dollar as we speak. Kessler has decided to play the Sauerland game.....
