I´ll ask again since you seem reluctant to answer: Seriously which current SMW has a better resume than Kessler? And for the record Mundine, Andrade and Beyer were in the ring top 3 or 5 when Kessler fought them as far as I recall. Kessler fought them back to back only Eric Lucas in between...

and that being in "the rings top 3" PALES in comparison to guys like abraham who made 10 defenses of a middleweight title, an undisputed middleweight champ in taylor, taking pascals championship...shall i go on? yea, whoopie, they were good fighters, beating an old ass glenn johnson is sadly a better win than a 23-2 anthony mundine.... not to mention those fights were 5 or 6 years ago and lucas had been knocked out in 2 of his previous 4... even though i dont like andre dirrell, hes a better fighter than andrade....
To blown up middleweights who never made any noise at SMW. Not impressive. An old boiled down LHW not impressive. Pascal and Dirrell are good wins though and for the record I didn't mention Lucas as a good win, but Mundine, Beyer and Andrade were excellent wins as were Froch especially considering the eye injury.

The pandora box was open when Kessler attacked Bute (instead of saying "we had other plans, I dont fear Bute, I hope we can make a deal with Bute in the future") and then when you decide to post it in making this thread.
I am a Bute fan (although that is getting harder every year he doesn't have a serious fight) but I am NO fan of bute fan boys. Because they give Bute a bad name. They really strike me as probably the fan group furthest to the left on Murray's normal distribution curve.... The very least a hating fan -boy should do if to ask himself "in two seconds my attack on Froch, Pavlik, Kessler etc will be reversed and used on my hero Bute..... will he then look good?" But they don't even do that. They merrily attack other fighters for not having met good opposition, not wanting to travel, not being able to make big fights happen and so on. These guys not only live in a glass house and throw stones.... they they throw boomarangs from their glass house. A
Before Super six, Bute turned down Kessler (Bute not ready) and Froch (Bute first had to revenge his lost to Andrade). Shortly after the Super Six was on, NOW Bute was ready to fight everybody, but as his fans again and again complained and defended Bute, because "who could Bute fight ?". When Super Six was at its end, and Bute NOW has opportunity to fight Pavlik and Kessler - what happens then................:huh Bute is probably one of the best in the division, but if i was a Bute fan, i would start to be a little bit pissed with the situation....................................
As im trying to say. it really wasn't the money that made Pavlik call off 2 fights! He still has a problem. Kessler on the other hand was no excuse! why didnt they offer him 1.35 mil plus 40%?
