750K guaranteed. The rest he should make by himself selling a PPV in the middle of the night in Denmark. Worldwide rights, canadian rights, US rights and the gate goes to Bute.

So he not only has to travel the Atlantic to face a dangerous foe, he also gets the tiny slice of the pie. He probably earns a little less against Stieglitz, but that's at home and against an opponent most people think is easier than Bute. Wiser choice in every sense IMO.

You guys are riling each other up because you are understandably dissapointed in Interbox not getting Bute credible opposition. So let it go man. It's a dead horse.

i don't get it. so interbox make a low offer, and sauerland knows they can't pay much more cause they are not wealthy. and what he does next? pay 4 mil to stieglitz and say bute didn't realy wanted to make the fight happen. 4 mil is more than bute made his all career,he would have take that in a heartbeat. who ducks who then?at least interbox made an offer..shitty how it was in doesn't matter...they bothered to make a phone call...all kessler does is saying bute is a ducker when he had no intention what so ever to fight him. why are we talking about that again?

Because Interbox offer implied that they where not interested and hence Sauerland didn't want to show them his numbers yet.

I'm only giving Arum's numbers (which included an undisclosed amount from showtime). Nothing else has been put forward to my knowledge.

Kessler's only intention was to get a free trip to Montreal . Nothing more...

You should stop saying Kessler will receive 1,4 millions. He won't, according to Sauerland general manager. He'll receive way less than that.

You didn't answer my question. Who is telling the truth in Sauerland's team? The ones saying Kessler will receive 1,4 millions to fight Stieglitz, or the one saying he will receive much less?

And if we can't trust that team on that matter, why should we trust them on the Bute matter?

it is indeed. the fight wasn't ment to happen right now...butes team don't have to money to pay kessler to fight in montreal and kessler didn't wanted to give a truck full of $$$ as he is giving stieglitz to bute to fight in denmark cause it wasn't an easy fight like he has now. we just hope we see this fight soon or ******s will say bute waited for kessler to grow old. interbox let that go,they said nothing...bute said nothing. kessler is the one saying **** about bute when he should mind his own business with stieglitz,i don't recall bute saying any **** about anyone...but that's because he is an modest and educated guy i guess

Other rumors said he was offered 3 millions. Why do you choose to believe the lowest one?

Hey, nice thread. Lots of meat, of juicy contents. Holy hell.

I think they both want to go at it, but promoters are either cheap fvcks or egocentrics. Well, I mean by that Interbox appears to be hardline-get-you-cheap negotiators and that Kalle has a psychological problem when it comes to bowing to another promoter so a big fight can be made in their backyard. That, one point.

Secondly, weeelll-heeellll!!!! Bute has been in interviews over the past 24 months saying he wanted to fight the S6 winner when available, that he's on to bigger & better things for 2011-12 (prolly delayed to '13 now), that he WANTED KESSLER by December '11, would not exclude PAVLIK (that's for the guy who keeps on writing BUTE)... etc, etc, etc... Now on Kessler's side, absolutely willing as well!! You read multiple reports saying Kessler is adamant at getting back in the game with the best of them, that he obviously is hoping to get a shot at the S6 winner, and now the guy is scheduled to get Stieglitz' belt. So yeah, promoters fvcked it up here. Or did they?!

I don't think it's more on Interbox's onus than Sauerland, or vice-versa. Let's face it, the numbers for Bute-Kessler, whether in Montreal or in Denmark, would have been great... if not huge, maybe even higher than that of the S6 final. Now, with Kessler having a belt and the S6 winner taking a bit of a break, don't you think the numbers for an IBF-WBO unification (with Showtime planning on unifying the division - yes, Showtime) would be, hmm insane?? They said 'alright, can you get a decent opponent for the Fall? so we can make a sh1tload more money in the Spring..' and were told 'yeah we have Pavlik & Johnson on the list, we like your plan' -- and that's Interbox sacrificing a lot of negotiating power in the waiting process, ramping up to a 50/50 (please, neutral site) fight.

    ..makes sense? :D

Make it happen. March/April maybe? No mando for either for a while, and a decent break with X-mas in the middle. It's Showtime! :p

Maybe it's because Bedard said he offered more money to Pavlik and the 3 millions does not make any sens?
