As it stands, i'll pick Bute to easily beat Froch. But lets wait and see how The Cobra fairs against Taylor and then we could have a more accurate assesment.
Would love to see this. Honestly, if Froch gets past Taylor he'd probably have to be favourite against Bute. Right now I favour Taylor over Froch and over Bute as well. These ultra slick guys don't do nearly as well against guys that can actually hit them. Thats why Molitor (another Stephen LaRouch) looked soo good against B level fighters but got smacked around by Cabellaro. Bute's obviously made of sterner stuff then Molitor but if you spend so much time running away from a guy you only help him hurt you if he can hit you. So that being said if Froch can beat Taylor there'd be no reason to believe that he wouldn't have the skills to hang with Bute. From what I know of each fighter right now however, Bute gives him a serious boxing lesson. Side note: I love both Bute and Taylor. And I don't really care for Froch's mouth or cocky bull****. But you have to admit this guy must have to carry his stones around in a wheel barrow. I mean shortly after winning the belt in one of the best fights of last year he then goes straight after the second best guy in the division on his home turf. No easy first defense, nor string of chash in fights before he takes on the top dogs. Just straight after the best.
Taylor was his mandatory. He didn't choose him. He could have gone for purse-bids to get rid of Taylor, but then he'd have had to fight strong fighters who didn't come with a cherry on top, like Taylor. It made sense to go for Taylor.
Bute fought fighters that hit hard as Bika and he beat him , of course he made some mistakes against Andrade but i think he would beat Forch easy.
Well they share a common opponent. Sergey Tatevosyan. Bute labloured to a 12 round decision. Froch gave Sergey his first stoppage loss ever in a round and a half.
After Bute had already softened up Tatevosyan a couple months earlier. And it was a UK fight where the ref jumped in because he wasn't punching back, not because he was hurt. Anyway, what does fighting common opponents prove when you're talking about head to head? Absolutely nothing. Froch might be able to catch Bute, but Bute beats Froch by wide decision 9 times out of 10. Froch would be better served by coming forward and trying to be relentless, but he has a habit of trying to box. If he does that against the quicker, superior boxer, he'll lose. It's also why he'll lose to Taylor.
Oh yeah for sure I'm not really questioning his chin so much as I'm questioning his ability to fight a guy who can find him on a regular basis. I recently watched the Bika fight and Bute did get caught with some good shots acouple of times but he was way too slick to be caught often. I also agree with your prediction. My point was more that Froch would have to show me something I don't think he has agaisnt Taylor for me to give him a chance against Bute. The flip side of that was that if he does some me something then he's got the power and style to make it happen. But again yeah right now I'd be making Bute the Heavy favourite.
I though someone would mention this. Yeah Taylor was him maditory but he easily could have been a hard ass and forced the fight to be in England. The fact that he didn't really fuss too much about it I can respect. Also being the champ and all if he could have said England or nothing, in which case Taylor never would have taken the fight. Which would have been an easy way to get out of the fight if he wanted a cash in fight.
1) Bute didn't labour to win, he won very easily. 2) Froch met Tatevosyan 2 months after Bute. 3) Bute had a hand injury and was wearing the biggest Winning gloves to protect them. 4) It was a premature stoppage against Froch. 5) And most, Tatevosyan had a couple of weeks to prepare for the fight against Froch. If you still believe Tatevosyan is a good example to mesure Bute and Froch, you're just a fan without a brain.
never happen. taylor is going to ko froch. froch hasn't even remotely come close to the level of fighters taylor has fought. this is a gimme.
