    If you have some dumbells..

Stand on one of the handles of one dumbell with one foot, on the ball of that particular foot.. Try to let your heel touch the ground while keeping most of your weight balanced on the ball of your foot/ toes.. Switch and repeat..

Also a good way to warm up your calves, doing calf raises on one leg, on a dumbell.

If youve got dumbells hold them on your shoulders then put your toes on a step or box. lift your hells up and hold for 5 seconds, lower your heels, then repeat.

Stand on the stairs and let your heel hang over and dip your heels down below the ball of your foot.
    or
Stand in a door way, put your hands on either side, bring one leg up at a 45 and drop the other leg back and try to keep the heel of your back leg close to the floor and lean forward.

Keeping the rear leg straight and heel planted try to push your hips towards the ground.

Calf raisers on a 2x4. Good stuff.

Stretch out good before you run too, try changing your diet and get more potassium that might help a little.

I also swear by mustard for cramps and stuff. I have no science to back it up but i swear it works.
