I think Smith would be way too big. It would all but destroy his legacy after his ‘draw’ and ‘loss’ against Canelo which I wouldn’t want to see. He’s definitely on the slide anyway, still a great fighter but to move up and fight a 6 foot 3 young beast for 12 stone would just be suicide in my opinion.

I’d rather Smith fought the winner of Rocky and Canelo at Anfield.

Im not keen in the fight but the stiff as a board Plank would be a siting duck for GGGs ramrod I jab which would drill holes in the Plank. . Id rather the big wooden lump figbf someone his own size. ... Or since that's impossible at least close to it. Maybe Uzcategui. Uzi should beat the Plank handily.. .

Groves has a great jab and just as he started having success with it he got banged. It’s too hard to get in and out without getting caught against someone that much bigger, especially when you’re getting on. Fair enough Golovkin is far better inside than Groves but I think he prefers mid range which he just could never be against Smith. GGG was a bit staggered against Brook, so Smith would hurt him.

Like @Here's Johnny i don’t really want to see this fight. Smith is way too big & strong for GGG. He’s left it way too late in his career to be taking on huge, youthful super middleweights like Smith who would retire him imo. I can sort of understand Canelo taking on Fielding, he struggles to open up that space to throw his big shots. Canelo can suffocate him in the pocket. Smith on the other hand is even bigger and can step back, make GGG fall short and pick him off.

I’d like to see GGG against Jacobs, Charlo or BJS.

Callum "the plank" Smith is just trying to make some money. No doubt Mr Joe G, put this idea in his head it be the highest payday he ever had.
