We had the same crap off the americans about Lennox Lewis as we do about Joe Calzaghe,i been to the states to watch both fighters plus other non-british fighters and without being to negative to most americans, you have not got a clue about boxing and sport!

Calzaghe will get alot more respect in retirement, if he doesn't lose to RJJ (which he shouldn't)

bit of a sweeping generalisation there fella :D

I've defended Joe on here becasue the pish he was getting was off the chart but at the same time I wouldnt break my neck to watch a calzaghe fight. He has achieved a lot and deserves respect but i just find his style a bit of a turn off. So if I think that and I'm a brit its hardly surprising a lot of our American cousins have no reason to love him.

you cant take away what he has achieved tho !

He's not my fav but being english ive followed his whole career and im sure a few keyboard warriors arent going to bother joe c that much, he has won every belt possible at 168 and is the ring champ at 175

It's nice to see not all americans are consumed with hate and can watch boxing objectively, I know you guys are patriotic but people rating pavlik over calzaghe is damn right stupid for what beating taylor and miranda thats ridiculous.
    :good

Oh I don't think there is anything anybody could blog on the internet about in regards to Joe that would actually rattle him.

I do rate Pavlike high as well but not higher than Joe thats for sure, but he will have his moment. He just has to wait for his time to shine just like everyone else.

I'm interested in what it is about his style that turns you off - could you pinpoint it?

Calzaghe Kessler was imo theee best "boxing match" in the past few years, so i'm curious to hear from another viewpoint.

They are not even comparable. Lewis beat every top fighter of his era...that would fight him (Riddick Bowe being a disgraceful ***** isn't Lennox's fault) Lewis cleaned out the division and left it in shambles.
