He was quoted saying his next fight could be his last.

Will his last fight be in the US against Popkins?

If ol popkins signs the contract then it may well be.

I'd much rather see Calzaghe fight the winner of the Taylor/Pavlik rematch as it would do far more for his legacy. Beating on a 43yr old Hopkins for 12 rounds wouldn't mean as much to his resume when people look back on it later on down the line.

I wouldn't be surprised if he retired. He will be 36.

After Hopkins schools Calzaghe, I reckon Joe will look for an easy fight so he can go off with a win after he tarnishes his so-called 'legacy'.

Doesn't appear Pavlik, Taylor, Miranda are on his radar.

No surprise that Joe thinking about the easy chair, he's had a long career. Still, it seems concieveable that he would have another fight or two, and they won't be against some half ass alphabet mandated challenger. In my heart of hearts, I don't believe the Hopkins fight will ever happen. Hopkins is going to make some impossible demands, thats his method operandi. That leaves a fight with the winner of Pavlick-Taylor (which will probably be Pavlick). Either one of those guys will fight, anywhere, anytime, unlike Hopkins who just makes a lot of noise lately.

I doubt if this will be his last fight - if he wins or draw.

A draw will prompt them for a rematch.

If he wins - I think the only other fight he would want is Taylor and not Pavlik.

My thoughts - he loses to Hopkins, in an interesting fight and retires with no shame.

If Hopkins win - his last fight will be against Roy. We'll I think it will be both of their last fights.

Everyone has to call it a day eventually. He is in the right place to wrap up his career.

I say he should whoop X in America then finish on something in the UK as a goodbye. Most likely Woods.
