Joe Calzaghe is looking to retire soon from boxing with his undefeated record intact. At 36 years of age, Calzaghe is aiming for one more fight and he wants that fight against rjj. In a recent interview with the BBC, Calzaghe said he would like to fight Jones Jr. sometime in the winter. Calzaghe also discussed his last fight this past April in which he beat Bernard Hopkins. Calzaghe stated it wasn't his best performance and blasted Hopkins for hugging all night in the fight and for having a poor fan base representing him at the fight.

In regards to his fight with Hopkins, Calzaghe stated: “I won the fight but it wasn’t my best performance.” Calzaghe went on to add: “It is hard to fight against somebody who just wants to hug you all night. When you win a fight you want a performance and you want to look good for the fans."

In regards to how many fans showed up for Hopkins at their fight, Calzaghe dissed Hopkins for selling poorly and stating how that indicates how much Hopkins is disliked. “14000 tickets were sold for the fight and 12000 were from Britain. So that tells you what a ***** Bernard Hopkins is and how disliked he is. When you can’t even sell a ticket in your own place, it’s a problem,” blasted Calzaghe.

And this is news to you? Calzaghe won, Hopkins spoiled and he never draws crowds.

It's stuff like this that reminds me why I cant stand this bloke. While we're on childish insults, I'd go as far as saying he came across as a ****** on the Jonathon Ross show the other week. You know, like one of those shifty, shy, window lickers? Joe always comes across like that in interviews.

Funny, I think I was one of the few who called this to be an ugly fight one the threads on fight day.

That's just rich, Joe...bring yourself down to Hopkins' level. The more I hear from the Calzaghe's, the less I like them.

He's just pissed off because he only won a SD and should arguably have lost against a 43 year old.

I think Calzaghe is 100% correct. Hopkins quite obviously, is a complete *****!

 The scoring is subjective. That fight was as clear as mud.

It was pretty easy to score. That is why the consensus says Calzaghe won by a comfortable margin, and you'll usually find a few haters claiming it was really close. There is no coincidence there.
