Just a thought, what would happen and how do you think the fight would go. Say an early 90's Gerald vs a 2002/2005 Calzaghe??

JC would outbox Gerald but what would happen if he got caught with a powerful right hand from the G-Man? Lights out i'm afraid...

I don't think Gman has much of a chance, provided Joe doesn't get sloppy (which he wouldn't, I'm sure he would have too much respect for Gerald's power).

Prime Calzaghe is ridiculously hard to hit flush.

Calzaghe ahead on points before he gets stopped around 10/11. G-Man has too much power.

Gman would be gassed before 10/11. Stamina wasn't his thing.

G-man scores 2 knock downs but looses a UD. get gets outboxed and finds it hard to tag JC with the KO punch. JC loves boxers who come forward as he is a master of angles. probz would have frustrated Gman a bit

Calzaghe by clear and easy UD. Gman had no stamina beyond 8, he slowed after 6 round, but some of you guys think he'll stop a guy who's hardly been down or hurt in his already long career? Laughable.

Gerald hit like a freak, but I rate JC's chin well above Benn's who took the best of what Gerald had to offer. I dont think he'd run either, he wouldn't need to, he could keep busy and sap Gman's strength by making him work 3 minutes of every round and negate that power from those long leverage power shots that were Geralds trademark.
