I probably have Calzaghe about number 2 now but if Hatton wins he'll be number 1 with Joe 2.

    Joes work is now irrefutable.

Hatton for now but if he loses against Mayweather and Calzaghe beats Hopkins it'll be Calzaghe

Calzaghe is higher after the Kessler win. Hatton overtakes him with a victory over Mayweather.

Hatton can't be number 1 if he beat Mayweather..

He need a lot more to prove.. if he win title at different weight to middleweight then yes.

Hatton is P4P number 1 if he beats Mayweather.

Hatton will never win titles above welter (and I think he'd struggle with the big welters out there), he just hasn't got the body for it.

Calzaghe has beaten a far better calibre of fighter than Hatton.

If Hatton beats Mayweather then I think both fighters will have a claim, personally I'm not sure if you can claim to be the best after one win though.

before Saturday I always said Hatton had the better resume (just), but I believed in a p4p fight Calzaghe would beat him. Following Saturdays result Calzaghe has the better resume.

Two weight champ - REAL LINEAR CHAMP.

    Beat a top 5 130 pounder, top 30 135 pounder and a top 10 140 pounder. Trust me, he has little to prove. He'd be P4P 1.

To be the best you need to beat the best.

To me it's obvious that he's P4P #1 if he beats Mayweather. Beating Zoo who was P4P #3 to win the light welter title and Mayweather who is P4P #1 to win the welter title is bigger than anything Calzaghe or Pacquiao have done. Add to that a 3 round win over Castillo who was probably top 20 P4P. Never mind if you think Joe or Floyd have more "talent", it's what you do with it that counts.

If he beats Mayweather than he deserves to be No1 P4P, but I think its highly unlikely.

Overall I think Joe's a much better boxer than Hatton anyway.

However, I'll be willing Hatton on on the 8th December and see if he can pull off what would be a huge upset.
