when did Calzaghe display the ability to hurt his opponent, and how is the fact that he didnt irrelevant? Thats like saying, hey, Mike Tyson had the power to KO Lennox but the fact that he didnt is irrelevant. You're a gob of ****.

I do agree that Hopkins landing a few hard shots a round isnt going to win him the fight. Like I said, I had Joe winning but it was closer then you had it.

No. It didnt look that way. I would have been utterly shocked if Joe C dropped Hopkins.

I agree Joe was robbed of a UD, although I scored the fight closer, 115-112.

    Adelaide Byrd's scorecard was ridiculous.

The object of boxing, you ****ing newbies, is not to hurt your opponent but to display the ability to do so. That is why we, boxers, wear gloves, to prevent serious injury and to enable the art of boxing to take place over a greater distance than just 30 seconds. Beating your opponents until they are unable to continue (ala Mike Tyson) is certainly an effective strategy but Hopkins failed to do that you morons, thus we go to the scorecards where we find that Hopkins got thoroughly out boxed. Calzaghe displayed the ability to hurt Hopkins better than Hopkins displayed the ability to hurt him by out-landing Hopkins.

Anybody else need me to explain how boxing works and ****?!

you dumb. Explain how boxing works, there's quite a few on here who I'm positive know loads more then you do.

Outlanding him, yes, landing more effective shots, no. You're a knucklehead.

Effective? Hopkins landed one truly effective shot all night, the one that put JC on his ass.

You're the fuking dumbass who hasn't boxed and has probably only been watching boxing for 5 minutes, go get an education. Anyone who has that fight close forgoes the title fistic scholar.

It was a close fight, there was alot of rounds where it could of gone either way, especially early on. Clazaghe landed more punches, but many of them were clearly slaps, while Hopkins landed the effective blows, tough fight to score, I had Calzaghe winning by 2 points I think.
