Just seen Duke McKensie talking about Calzaghe V Hopkin's. He's picking the American to win. In his opinion Calzaghe has a shout for best British boxer, but his own peronal pick is Conteh. I confess to having seen very little footage of Conteh. For those who know more of him how does he match up to Calzaghe, both in achievements and given they were close in weight H2H?
I think there have been threads on this before, though maybe it was in the classic or general sections.might be worth running a search on it. We will have a better idea of Calzaghe at light heavy after the Hopkins fight. Conteh was a bigger, stronger man that fought a lot of his early fights as a heavyweight.I can't see a 168 pound Calzaghe beating him. IN Joe's favour, he has been a lot more dedicated.Conteh wasted his career much quicker, albeit fighting ftougher opposition than Calzaghe.
