That was Eubanks 2nd best career performance in hindsight.

that was an almost novice Eubank remember.

I guess you are talking about a prime JC right? So the one that beat Lacy and Kessler??

    Eubank beats Calzaghe

But Calzaghe beats Benn and Collins

Benn performed gallantly in the McCllellan fight - but he was very vunerable himself in that fight and was hurt and staggered and dropped - he beat McCllellan because the American had a non existence defence and was easy to hit - Calzaghe is much better defenisvely and Benn would have had no-where near the success rate in punches landed - and Calzaghe while not having the power of McCllellan would land with more frequency and hurt Benn and maybe even stop him.

A faded Eubank, not shot. Also Calzaghe was a novice at the time.

    1) Benn was wild. A prime Calzaghe doesn't get involved in a slugging match because he doesn't need to. Aggressive fighters who have confidence in their ability to knock their opponent out are who Calzaghe looks best against. Benn was too easy to hit and he would be hit regularly. Calzaghe UD Benn although he might have to get up from a flash knockdown at some point.

    2) The toughest fight of the 3. A prime Eubank would be tough for anyone. A draw is on the cards.

    3) Collins was hard and gritty. I think he'd find a way to land more shots than a lot of people think. Still, he shouldn't be able to win over 12 rounds. Calzaghe UD Collins but fairly close-ish.. roughly 116-112 scores in a hard fight.

For me, stylewise, Benn is the easiest fight of the three for Calzaghe. I can see him making it difficult for himself by fighting down to Collins level and Eubank is just plain awkward.

    Good point

The Calzaghe that fought lacy, who didnt hit with any real authority , against the maniac version of Benn that walked into McClellan all fight ?

Thats a long night in anyones book.

Calzaghe beats Collins convincingly (that hurt me to say that)

Eubank takes Calzaghe, maybe even stopping him

    Benn/Calzaghe 50/50 pick em

People do forget that Calzaghe eats right hands all night long.

Probably better defensively than Benn - but only just.....

Any decent right hand puncher can land regularly.

WTF is with all these Eubank stops him picks? Calzaghe's chin has stood up to the test of time.

He has a better chin than Benn and Watson.

Eubank never stopped anybody with durability like Calzaghe. I don't see a prime Calzaghe getting stopped by Eubank.

I remember watching Robin Reid bounce right hands off JC ( thats a fight JCs fans never mention ), Nigel Benn was a force of nature in the McLellan fight, he refused to lose. On that night he would have beaten Calzaghe on any night. Other than that night you can make a solid argument for both men.

Eubank pre Watson, was a puncher. A lazy puncher however, so i feel JC would outpoint him.

Collins stylistically would have been the easiest. But he would have been there all night

Calzaghe dominated Reid until he injured his hand.

Reid on that night would have had a chance of KO prime Roy Jones and would have edged Hopkins on his best night.

I know youre not trying to suggest that the Calzaghe of the Lacy fight hits anything like the McClellan of the Benn fight ???? :huh
