It would be a very close bout, Calzage would have a lot of trouble getting through Canelo`s high guard, not many punches would landed by either fighter a little like Hopkins v Calzaghe, I`ll lean towards Joe because of his reach or a draw.

I think he might have out-worked Canelo but he would have missed a lot of shots, Canelo has proved very hard to hit in his last two fights.

Canelo is awesome, no doubts. But he's still making his first steps in the 168 and 175, and Calzaghe is an ATG who always fought in the 168+

Joe just outworks him at 168, he'd beat him.
Even Froch in his prime would beat Canelo (andd Golovkin) at 168. A lot bigger, reach advantage, one hell of a chin, always in great shape and high volume plus great cardio. Froch was also not a headhunter and willing to go to the body, I think that Canelo is just outgunned against the best at that weight and dowin well now because the division is a far cry of what it used to be durning the super six days.

I think Canelo is an excellent fighter, but Joe is all wrong for him and his style. Calzaghe by wide UD in a fight that Canelo shows visible frustration.

I wouldn't say Joe is all wrong for him but I do think his activity level could pose a problem for Canelo and lead to Joe winning a decision on punch volume. On the other hand I think that Joe could get himself into trouble by trying to stay too busy and could get caught and dropped.

Clenelo's 5'7" ass is not hanging with the greats at 168lbs. He's too short and stocky to handle any of the all-time greats at 160lbs as well. Hell, he lost to the best of his own era (GGG) and the guy was 35y/o at the time.

Against the historical greats of all time we'll have to rank match Clenelo at 154lbs. His finest form there was against Liam Smith (his final fight in the division), and that version of Clen is a hard out for anyone at junior middle.

Calzaghe would do a Lacy job on Canelo.

Canelo can roid all he want, get as many judges on payroll as he wants, he is gettting smashed.

    Calzaghe would embarrass Canelo.

All those times when Canelo gets tired in fights and tries to take a break, he'd be getting slapped silly.

    Wipeout win for Calzaghe.

As timeout said, this has a "Lacy" potential outcome for Canelo.
