natural super middle vs natural super welter, canelo's possible slight edge in class wouldn't be enough to bridge the gap.
It's Lacy 2.0. Canelo doesn't have a chance. Joe's faster, bigger better power and with healthy hands, a better puncher. Even Oscar can't save Canelo on this on.
Very good fight and stylistic match up. I would pick Calzaghe on points though I can imagine Canelo putting Calzaghe on the floor but Super Joe would get up and win the fight.

Comical isn't it? Guy beats a still concussed semi-shot Kovalev whose chin and power are both greatly diminished and who has a six round gas tank and Rocky From Stocky who he slapped a rehydration clause on, and has only dropped one world class fighter above 155 ie. Clenelo Weight and Clown Squad are picking him to beat Calzaghe. Joe would absolutely school that toad and the pre shattered metacarpals one who didn't just possess an insane engine, an iron chin (oh yes he did), blazing hand speed, skills, foot speed, physical strength, and athleticism (no weights or PEDs just naturally very gifted), but could actually punch hard too, would stop him down the stretch. Clen would be blowing out of his ass by the halfway mark with the pace Joe sets even on his PEDs and it would only get worse for him as the rounds progressed.
Love Joe great fighter with a dragon heart one of my favourite British um Welsh fighter's. Had that cocky style but could get tagged get back up and keep governing the ring. Expecially liked him beating Hopkins after the hole that white boy could never beat me comment. The only reason he took that fight!! but as good as he was think canelo would be too thick chinned was never the heavy handed especially as time went on his fists where shattered to bits. Both have great movement but if honest canelo is probably better landing on the counter. Joe liked to be on the front foot and really hard to hit at times, would be a great fight to watch it Joe was prime. Have to lean towards the Mexican paddy tho if I'm honest. He's better then alot give credit for on here don't really get that.
Yeah but you know that could actually be a key component. I think their jabs are pretty even. Arguably Canelo may have the better chin but neither fighter is chinny.
