Credit to Bernard he tried everything. Honestly the knockdown, excellent punch. Bernard still showed he was the defensive master.

But where DLH, Trinidad, Wright, Tarver and Taylor failed - Calzaghe suceeded.

Calzaghe fought fire with fire and eventually outlanded, outworked, outboxed Bernard.

    I scored the fight

    round 1 - Hopkins + knockdown
    round 2 - Hopkins
    round 3 - Calzaghe
    round 4 - Hopkins
    round 5 - calzaghe
    round 6- calzaghe
    round 7 - calzaghe
    round 8 - calzaghe
    round 9 - calzaghe
    round 10 - calzaghe
    round 11 - calzaghe
    round 12 - calzaghe

A lot of the rounds WERE CLOSE, but Calzaghe landed more and CAME FORWARD.

In the end for me, after a VERY shaky start from Calzaghe he adapted after round 4 exactly the same as in the Kessler fight and then took control.

It was a close, but clear decision for calzaghe. and to be honest - no one should have thought any different as no one was gonna dominate eachother as this is calzaghe and hopkins we're talking about. 2 of the best fighters of our generation.

The standard of actualy boxing tonight was as high as it gets. Tonights fight we had the 2 best fighters from 160-175 fighting. Regardless of what Kelly Pavlik fans think.

I predicted a 115-113 decision win for calzaghe tonight which wasnt that far off.

I'd predict a WIDE 118 decision for Calzaghe over Pavlik. Same for Hopkins.

    PROPS.
