Great fight! I think Qawi is a litle too strong for Joe. Also his upper body movement was excellent and would have far more success than Lacy in getting Joe to fight on the inside. Qawi close but clear ud.

After a slow start Qawi by wide (ish) decision or late KO.

Qawi would **** Joe up. Calz has NOTHING to hold Qawi off with. Qawi would literally laugh at his slaps.

Qawi all the way. Joe's perfomance against Lacy is no indicator of how he would do against Qawi. The difference in skill level between Dwight and Lacy is huge.

Would be a wicked fight but Qawi power at light heavy would get to Calzaghe eventually.

What I've seen of Qawi is great and I definetely pick him in this match up. But few fighters would have an easy time with Calzaghe and Qawi is not one of them.

Qawi would walk through Calzaghe's offense, rough him up, wreck his body and beat him into submission. Qawi -TKO -11.

We know Calzaghe is very open to right hand counters and who is better at slipping shots and then throwing right hand counters than Qawi? Not too many

I love Calzaghe, I think he ranks very well head to head and would at least be competitive with many great fighters that have come and gone.

I even think he'd beat Hagler.

But Qawi? Not a snowball's chance in hell, imo.

I think Calzages legs are the key in this fight...It would be a tough fight but Joe still has the in and out movement, faster hands and good defense. I think Joe gets roughed up at times but the hand speed and movement allow him to edge this one for a SD or a very close UD

Calzaghe is a veritable nightmare for any oponent in his own weight class whatever his detractors say.

He is almost impossible to outpoint on the cards and he obviously isnt easy to stop.

Looking at this match however I suspect that Qawi might be the exception that proves the rule on both counts.

Qwai isn't walking though Calzaghe's shots, nobody below heavyweight does that.

Calzaghe isn't going to hurt Qwai in a million years, but his slaps are painful and have the snap to stop anyone in from history walking him down.

Calzaghe would have to counter-punch as he did in the second half of the Kessler fight. As Qawi's footspeed wasn't one of his strengths, Calzaghe can certainly keep a safe enough distance away.

    Calzaghe on points.
