    Calzaghe wasn't a MW.

And he would have outclassed him if he was.

    calzaghe couldn't outclass Robin Reid.

I agree with sweet pea though.Don't understand why Joe always gets compared to middles like Hagler head to head on this site.

Desperation to make Calzaghe into something he isn't.

But Sibson did move up (to challenge Andries at 175), so a 168 match seems fair.

Sibson's bravery gets to the final bell. Calzaghe WU15 (11-4)

Calzaghe is clearly a brilliant fighter, matching him up with Middleweights is fun. You have to match him with Middles because the 168lbs division has only been around for 25 years.

It is a bit of fun, with ultimately no right or wrong answers.

To do it without fun makes you look mad, because how the hell can you seriously say a fighter from 1890's can beat a fight from the 2000's or a fight from the 1980's can beat a fighter from the 1920's?

If you can, then you need to be aware of 'Big Frank' in the shower.;)

Match him with LHW's then, as he's more natural there than he is at MW, considering he's actually fought there effectively before and fits the weight.

Yes you can do that as well, it is a fit either/or.

And when anyone starts matching Calzaghe up with cruiserweights our Calzaghe contingent is going to start shitting bricks.

    Point being...?

IMO there is only one fighter who was more than a one/two stop cruiserweight post 1978 that I would fancy beating Calzaghe, that being Holyfield.
