How would you see this fight panning out if they fought next?

    Further questions:
    1. In your opinion, is Wright still elite?
    2. Where would Winky appear in a list of Joe's best opponents?
    3. This fight would be at 168 so would you give credit for a Calzaghe win given that Wright looked poor with the extra weight vs Hopkins and the age factor?

    1. Yes, but only at 160 lbs. I don't think he could make 154 anymore.
    2. Probably the best opponent ON PAPER Joe has ever faced.
    3. I wouldn't give Joe any credit.

Fight Dawson or Woods or Erdei if you can't get Hopkins before June/July. :fire

    Joe c by major UD....
American folks would claim its a career best win, disregarding the fact that joe is at least 14 pounds bigger than winky....Would be a very good win though as winky is a respected and skilled p4p fighter....

Calzaghe would retire Wright if they fought tomorrow.

Thats a mismatch. Calzaghe is too big and throws too many punches.

Yes because Joe has had trouble against the jab previously. And southpaws make him look bad too.

    1) No 2) At this stage easily below Kessler, Lacy and Eubank 3) Not really, considering hes only got a couple of fights left its a total waste of one of them

I think JC gives Winky his clearest loss since Harry Simon.

If Taylor's punches pierces thru Winky's defense...

If Hopkins' footspeed gave Winky problems...

    JC will be Winky's nightmare.

    117-111 JC.

It's like Ali - Patterson or Holyfield - Holmes, good name on the resume, but other opponents with lesser names were actually bigger threats. Kessler was a much more difficult fight than Winky would be. Other than a prime RJJ, I would not favor anyone in history over Calzaghe at 168.

I can't believe 6 people voted for Winky. With all do respect, if you pick Winky to win against Calzaghe, you don't know boxing.

    Reasons why Winky will lose:

1.) Winky is too small for 168 and Calzaghe is big for 168.
2.) He has average to low punching power for 154, this will translate to very low p.power at 168.
3.) Calzaghe is faster and throws more punches.
4.) Calzaghe throws punches at angles which will bypass Wrights guard.
    5.) Calzaghe is more versatile
