Big opportunity for Garcia to show he's the real deal, if he can do what Lomachenko and Linares couldn't and stop Campbell would make a statement.

Think garcias record was something like 215-15 in the ams bud. Beat devon haney there as well.

Campbells always came across to me as more suited to the ams with his length plus hes pretty good at firing back when hit.

Who knows tho...i,ve not seen much of garcia. Just the signs are pointing to him being as good as there saying.

I’m convinced Campbell can do this - although I have actually backed Garcia to win on points! It’s a tough one because Campbell has been in there with some big names and hasn’t disgraced himself. Garcia has fought nobody of more but he looks the dogs - but is he? This is a massive step up for him. Maybe being younger/fresher gets him over the line in the latter rounds.

Not been aware of any of that bud. Could be interesting if the guy isnt as good as they think he is. Hopefully luke can get something going tonight and get his career going as well.

I think Garcia will win. He is younger and faster, but it is a huge step up for him. He gets the chance to prove himself tonight.

Garcia has only fought 9 rounds after going life and death with Carlos Morales. How much has he really improved since then?

I watched a De la Hoya interview where he stated that all the champs at 135 lb wanted to fight Garcia which I interpreted to mean that Garcia brought rewards I.e a marketable fight without massive risk ? If you listen to Old man Lopez , maybe not that advisable, he is quite dismissive of Garcia as a fighter. We will find out very soon whether Garcia is a good fighter or a hype job . For some reason I keep remembering the Frazier v Foreman bout where the Frazier camp played down the level of Foreman’s opposition stating something to the effect that their grandmother could have beat his last few opponents and actual fact one of them was their Grandmother! Logic tells me that Luke is the more proven fighter and therefore should win.

I think Garcia wins an 8-4 type fight. Campbell is good, he’ll have his moments. He’s never really kicked on much in his career though since the Linares loss. He’s better than his record suggests but I’m not sure by how much. I think Garcia is legit. Even if he loses, he will still likely prove to be legit.

I'm glad it isn't going to be 4am or so, but any idea why, when it's held in Texas? Seems unusual, not that I'm complaining!
