This is a big step up for Luke and a career defining fight, this will indeed let us know if he's capable at world level, fair play to him for taking it and good luck to him
Hard fight for both but imo Mendez's experience could be a major factor unless he's a shot fighter, fight night will tell.

I agree that this is a seriously tough test for luke and also a career definer. I would of preffered to of seen him in with a similar style but not as effective fighter.
Not sure the sykes win would of done muchto help luke in the areas he needs it most and youll know better than most billy you can spar all the similar styles you want but fight night is a different kettle of fish.
I really hope he gets through this one

    Always liked campbell

was really impressed with the Tommy Coyle fight, always impressive when you see a young boxer not panic and someone in the mid rounds.

but i am seeing limitations. Really hope he proves everyone wrong and goes on to win this one

Big fight and hat's off to him for taking it, but if he's going to go through the levels like he says he wants too he needs to be in fights like this.

If he can get through this and hopefully look well in doing so, I'd like to see him avenge the loss.

But he is 29 and in the lower divisions, he doesn't have all day.

A talent no doubt and it's a shame he's had some of the distractions he has since turning over, hopefully he can put on a show.

Mendez is capable and is a level just below world level at his peak but his not strong enough to pull off a mendy job on Campbell so expect Campbell to box long and possibly get him out of there. Robert Easter Jr just iced Mendez in 5 if I remember correctly
