Disgusting decision. Apart from the double KD in the first round Campillo won more or less every other round. Cloud won two more rounds at best. Two robbery defeats for Campillo now in the US :-(
I've watched it this morning. 115-111 to Campillo would be about right. The judge who had it by six to Cloud should be banned.
It was hard to give Cloud many rounds after the first. Even with the 10-7 Campillo was back level by the 5th round, 6th at the VERY latest and then clearly won the second half of the fight.
After the first round I gave Cloud three rounds. that judge that scored it 116-110 should be banned from ever judging a fight ever again. Even the crowd knew he lost that fight.
If Campillo gave up the sport now, I wouldn't be too surprised. He's been cheated so many times that I couldn't criticise him because he deserves a lot. I like Cloud but to be honest he should have had 2 defeats IMO, I reckon he was just beaten by Johnson too.
It was just so ****ing predictable. I made a joke a few weeks ago that Cloud had already scored a ud. I was nearly right. I knew it was going to happen. You lot knew it was going to happen. Don King knew it was going to happen. Its as if they can't even be bothered to hide it anymore. Also we slag our own country off for the 'British stoppage',Germany for all there shenanigans but the USA is very poor at the moment also. Campillo vs Cloud/Shuemenov, Alexander vs Kotelnik/Mattyse and Williams/Lara. Not to mention Pac vs Marquez.
That was the comparison I drew on when trying to predict this fight. Campillo will Lacy him and then get robbed. So ****ing predictable.:-(
problem is Cleverly won't work the angles like Campillo did, instead he would want to go to war and for that reason I think Cloud beats him. Cleverly doesn't beat Campillo either.
Being perfectly honest it is stuff like this that does more damage to the Sport then the Haye-Chisora brawl. I hope Showtime demand a rematch, I have no interest in seeing Cloud taking on anyone else until he has beaten Campillo comprehensively or has lost and has to rebuild as he shoul be having to do this morning. Judges need to be held accountable **** decisions are unacceptable and if you aren't doing the job right as with any other job you should be sacked SIMPLES.
