    No.

Listen, I have watched him for years now. He is the perfect amateur fighter and he is a very good pro fighter on the front foot with a static opponent or one who cannot bang.

But his chin is AWFUL. I know a lot of people think the Brits were hyping Khan, but actually most of us saw him badly hurt by a short, nothing shot from a none puncher in the ams...the kid was called Craig Watson.

Like Haye, I knew Khan had chin issues then.

Difference is that Haye can take a shot and some of his issues have been weight, but trust me...first big proper heavy Haye gets hit by....its over.
    Khan is that times 10.

He can not change how weak chinned he is. You do not have to have a great chin to be elite. But guys like Lewis who are called glass jawed actually have very good chins in the grand scheme and above average at elite. Watch Lewis take clean Vitali shots, shots from Mercer on the button etc and say he is glass jawed.

Khan is a different story. He can be starched by an average puncher, he is vunerable to everyone almost. When attacking he can be brilliant, it really is a shame, he is fast, gifted and great to watch. But the kid is upright, he is chinny and he is also had too much too soon and is full of crap. His loyal fan base do not have a clue and it has made matters worse.

He would have to become Sweet Pea to do anything at the top tier and there is simply no chance of this happening.

Thanks for that great post, you summed up everything.

Watching a fight like this makes me appreciate the elites of our sport all that much more.

So no one thinks he has a chance, is it beyond the realms of possibility that he can change styles? become defensively good enough to avoid the big punches, whilst using his speed to counter? i see this as hisonly option.

Well he does have 10 years to improve, he may have a **** chin but i still think he could carry on fighting and win a world title. But i doubt it would be against an eliete fighter. He probably wont ever make it to be one of the best because of his chin but he is very young and could still have a decent career.

No matter how good his defense gets, he will still take punches, its unavoidable, and no one is really feather-fisted at world level.
