The real winner of this night? Was arguably just as competitive with Parker as Joshua was, the Destroyer's stock just took a nice boost if you ask me. For the record I had Joshua winning 7-5 and the Ruiz fight a draw but if you consider both Joshua and Parker as top five HWs (which, you know, everybody does) then you really can't have our favourite potato shaped Mexican too far behind. H2H he's definitely a top 10 HW, possibly even top 5, he just needs a big name on his resume to consolidate that claim.
To consolidate that claim he needs to actually come into a fight in serious enough shape to make a top five heavyweight like performance. As of now... he simply hasn't done that.
Sweet phuk all. But I'd still back him to UD Whyte, Breazeale and Miller, all of whom are regulars in the lower reaches of the HW top ten. Ruiz just needs a big marquee win, maybe the faded version of Povetkin is ripe for the taking? At the very least it would be a sweet fight.
