canadian heavyweight belt

is it still revered as it once was or as it lost its lustre:think

 

I don't even know who's currently holding the Canadian title in any weight class.

 

since chuvalo retired you hear very little about the canadian heavyweight belt

 

Trevor Berbick Razor Ruddock and Willie Dewitt are about the only notable fighters that I can think of who have held the Canadian heavy weight title over the past 30 years. Asside from them, it has changed hands through men like Gordon Racette, Conroy Nelson and Ken Lakusta.

now the champ is nevin pajic

 

Pajic had a couple of fun fights with Greg Kielsa a couple of years ago for that belt.

But in terms of prestige, it's not nearly as well regarded as it once was, and for a while was simply a belt that ex-contenders won in the dying days of their career (see Trevor Berbick and Razor Ruddock).

 

The fighter makes the belt.There is really no Canadian Champion at present who has impressed the boxing world-consequently no one really cares presently who the champ is or isn't.It doesn't mean a thing.

 

nevin pajic is the current champ, Tyson fury called him out and it looks like pajic dont wanna fight him... but yea the Canadian HW belt has lost it..

 

yep it has lost a lot of value i guess
and yeah fury would beat pajic easy

but pajic is a tough guy
