Saul Alvarez -245 (implies a 71.01% chance of Canelo winning).

Miguel Cotto +175 (implies a 36.06% chance of Cotto winning).

Just curious as to what people think of the betting odds, and the fight outcome.

Personally, I favor Canelo and view -245 as decent, but not great, value.

i favor canelo aswell i think the odds are about right. i did not think cotto would beat geale the way he did or martinez (though i stand by my claim that martinez was injured and a shell of his former self)

Agree on both. Sergio was a gimp. I expected significantly more from Geale, Cotto blew my expectations away. I try not to take anything away from the victor, but neither felt 100% genuine (Geale looked shot to pieces and the catch-weight didn't help in that regard).

Was hoping it'd be closer to evens to make some money with Canelo.

Still good enough to put a good sized punt on Canelo

So basically it looks like they have Canelo 2-1. I feel it's 2-1 also but in favor of Cotto.

That's great value if you want to bet on Canelo.
I would have made Canelo a 4 to 1 favorite.

I doubt Canelo has fought anyone who boxes and hits as hard as Cotto.

This could be and I think it will be , Cotto's defining moment.

I like Canelo, but Cotto might be too fast for him. Canelo is pretty slow sometimes. I could see Cotto winning this fight by moving around and scoring.

I think it's closer, but I favor the Irish kid.

Cotto will win this. He's a much better boxer and Canelo does not apply enough pressure to break Miguel down.

    Cotto UD

if cotto can get past the 1st 4 rounds I think he stops canelo late. canelo tends to gas out after those first few rounds, or take rounds off. I think cotto with roach stop him late.

I personally like both of these fighters and will be happy with a good, fairly scored match.

While I would like to see Cotto win this to top off his career, betting-wise I have favored Canelo all along and I think 2 to 1 is about right.
