Just read this in an interview in Mexico.

“Austin Trout es el único rival que hay, no hay otro en la lista ni nada por el estilo, y es casi un hecho que voy contra él; sólo estoy a la espera de que nos confirmen que ya firmaron los dos (Mayweather y Trout), y listo”, dijo el ‘Canelo’.

Which translates to, "Trouts is the only rival there is, there nobody else on the list or anything like that; im just waiting confirmation that both have signed on (Mayweather and Trout) and im ready."

I thought he already said he would fight Trout if he was promised Mayweather later this year.. Him saying he's waiting for confirmation they both signed probably means he's wanting it in writing that Mayweather has to fight him later this year if he beats Trout.. Not sure if he's going to get that..

We know Mayweather is fighting on May 4th, so no reason to wait for him to sign to fight that date.. I think we may still be in the same spot we were before.... But who knows, maybe Mayweather will guarantee him a fight just to get him on the undercard.
