Pirog IMO, harder to be slick whilst pressuring and I think he's more consistent with his defense.

The competition is A+ vs. C-.

Canelo would look like a literal God if all he had fought was Pirog's comp.

Could someone finish the below statement for me?

"Dmitry Pirog's 5 best wins are:
    -
    -
    -
    -
    -"

    Thanks.

Canelo hands down. More body of work against good comp to rate from.

It's common knowledge that Canelo loses all hypothetical matches on this site. So going by BF24 consensus Pirog by KO. Going based on tangible evidence, THERE ISN'T MUCH. The only thing we can assume is that based on their level of opposition Canelo would be the clear favorite.

Pirog for me was the better fighter, but I actually see Alvarez as the more loose and fluid operator despite Dimitry's defensive talents.

I see this wasn't a very popular or easy-to-respond-to post. Sorry.

Many fans here live in the what ifs, and the could have beens... Sorry way to live imo. I prefer to enjoy boxing for what actually transpires.

Not really a fair question. The last fight that Pirog had where his back wasn't a significant issue was the Jacobs fight. Pirog was fairly elusive in that one. Canelo has developed a very elusive defense. It is fairly flat footed though, kinda like how James Toney would stand flat footed and slip punches. Pirog had a much more dynamic defense, he would use his legs, the high guard, and also upperbody movement. His bad back seemed to hinder it though, and gave me the impression that he was still honing his style. At this point, I'd say Canelo has developed into a more consistently elusive fighter than Pirog was.
