I think that he took a right opponent. All he needs is to impress (something that is very likely with Kirkland). He still has a long career ahead and a Cotto fight is not what fits him best at this point (had he gone at Cotto right after Trout, then he would've won).

Yeah I don't like how Canelo tried to force Cotto into signing for May 2nd, it's like he really didn't want the fight by offering him something he had to refuse since it looked likely Floyd Pac would be fighting then...sucks.
