Both sides have been quiet for a while, so it does seem like some serious negotiations are happening.
A lot of people seem to be picking Crawford here.

Alot of people heavily favoured Canelo before but since one of Canelo's notable wins in Muniga suffered a shocking defeat recently. And Canelo hasn't really had a standout performance in quite sometime i think people are starting to side with Crawford more.

Crawford didn't overly impress in his Jr Middleweight debut either though but he was up against a very tricky opponent with an extensive amateur background.

Really i'm not sure on this fight anymore Canelo looks to have slowed down a bit to me and with his limited punch output maybe Crawford could steal a decision from him in a chess match. But Canelo doesn't lose competitive decisions he always gets the benefit of the doubt from the judges so i do find it hard how Crawford wins honestly since he can't stop Canelo.

Even though Canelo has clearly lost a couple steps, he'll still beat up Crawford.

Canelo would have to decline pretty significantly for me to favour Crawford

It actually isn't look on social media plenty are picking Crawford. I'm not saying I make Crawford a favourite it depends how effective Crawford is when moving up that's an unknown quantity about this fight. But if Crawford maintains most of his best attributes he has a chance.

As for "blitzing Crawford" when is the last time Canelo blitzed anyone ? Most of his fights go the distance.

Doesn't matter when the last time was, none of his recent opponents have been welterweights. Crawford is now fighting 2 divisions below Canelo and does no damage, can only win ballroom dance fights.

Crawford isn't a natural Welterweight though his walking around weight is 180+ pounds I think he could easily make Super Middleweight.

I think people will be surprised but let's wait and see
