I never wrote Calzaghe would knock Canelo out. Never. I have no idea why you wrote that. I don't think he would because Canelo has a very good chin. But then again, it's unproven with naturally larger guys at 168 or 175. What I wrote was the possibility that Canelo would be stopped because his stamina is suspect and he might not be able to keep up with Calzaghe's workrate.

Canelo is completely unproven at 175. He beat a shot Kovalev who had been knocked out multiple times. If you want to believe he's beating Calzaghe, cheers.

The same arguments were made by many that would be why Canelo would tire and get stopped by Kovalev. "There are weight classes for a reason" narrative was destroyed when Kovalev got his clock cleaned.

Kovalev didn't look shot though when he outpointed Eleider Alvarez over 12 rounds in the rematch or when he KO'd Anthony Yarde who was undefeated. Those were his last two performances before he fought Canelo.

Kessler was better than all 3, and Calzhage didn't need dodgy decisions to beat his man.

Let's just leave it here with reality , Canelo at the age of 30 has accomplished 100x what Joe did at 30 fighting world champions at multiple divisions ect.. , At the end of the day their very close in accomplishments and Canelo still has at least 5 or 8 years left before he retires, by the time he retires we are going to look back and it's not going to be close.

Kovalev had already been stopped by light hitting at 168 Andre Ward at 175 and Alvarez as well. I don't care if Kov won the rematch (by decision). against Alvarez. If he wasn't shot, then he was nothing special in the 1st place due to those 2 stoppage losses.

Right, the E Alvarez who had previously stopped Kov. You clearly rate Alvarez and Yarde far higher than I do.

I find it very interesting that the Canelo supporters in this thread are hesitant to mention his decision victory at caneloweight against Miguel Cotto, who the better version and closer to his optimum weight was stopped by smaller than Canelo fighters in Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito.

I didn't realize 36 year old (or any version for that matter) Kovalev's workrate rivalled Calzaghe's.

He’s never been the same since the Ward defeats.

    He looks extremely vulnerable.

He’s badly faded, bordering on shot.

Alvarez would never have knocked out the best versions of Kovalev, and Yarde almost had him out of there and is unproven.

If Oscar didn’t think he was washed up, the fight would never have been made.

We know he’s not staying at LHW.

I see Shadow of a real man is polluting this thread with his posse of hysterical bedwetters
