Just a question, when GGG fought Monroe I saw a lot of people saying that GGG was fighting another bum, can, or whatever you want to call a fighter that's not good. But now that Monroe may be fighting Canelo next I see people saying that it's a good fight. When did Monroe all of a sudden become a good fight? The only fight that he has had since GGG was Rosado and even that fight he didn't look that good and even if you say he did look good, again it was against Rosado. So then why would the guy that was a bum when he fought GGG now be a good fight when he is with Canelo?
I think it would be a great fight, Willie is a great boxer, he just can't handle extreme power (like most people that fight GGG ) I think Canelo would try to box with Willie, get frustrated and then try to knock him out. I don't think Canelo could cut him off and stop him, but maybe he would.
Monroe was a young B or C level prospect when Ggg got his hands on him. Now he's a full fledged Journeyman. I would rather see Canelo fight BJ Saunders or Eubank Jr
Willie Monroe should thank GGG day and night for the exposure. If he gets the Canelo fight it's ONLY because GGG chose him.
He's just went 9 rounds with a skinny plodding 154lb punching bag, if you think he can deal with two 6 foot genuine MW's one with good defense, the other with exemplary defense, you're insane. Canelo has a tendency to look terrible against slick southpaws, or haven't you noticed?
Since when is KO an opponent in the 9th round a bad thing?? Wtf? Lol Did you watch the fight? Canelo dominated every round.. And destroyed the brit to the body.
I just want to see this fight to compare it to GGG's. Thats all. Plus Monroe isnt really a a bad fighter. Never was. Has won boxcino and had a HBO main event with GGG. So, better him than a cab driver from Argentina.
Yeah I kind of did the RBR for it. Canelo who's a natural MW at this point, since he rehydrated into the 170's just beat a C-level punching bag, brought in the make him look good, and ate quite a few hard left hooks along the way, and it still took him 9 rounds to stop him. "What an amazing performance. Canelo can KO anybody." GGG beats a natural JMW, who's a slick defensive counter puncher, lost one maybe 2 rounds, yet shattered his orbital bone and basically had him lying on the ropes defenselessly eating shots in 5 rounds. "Oh GGG sucks." So full of ****, all of you.
