Guys say what you want about Alverez, but he doesn't duck anybody. I'm not his biggest fan, but gotta give him props. Trout, (an older but not his fault) Mosley, Mayweather, he wanted Cotto, and now Lara. Dude reminds me of the 90's when boxers went head hunting.
At first I wasn't impressed with his record at such a young age. Probably 35 of those wins are taxi drivers and janitors, but he's stepping up to the big boys. Can't hate on that.

    Agree :good

I'm not a fan at all but the hes a badass for taking the Lara fight. I think he loses but he still gets my respect for fighting the toughest fight out there for him.

Lara fight will show us that he is a class B fighter with stamina issues.

Very good possibility. Would love to see him get with Roach or even Garcia. Maybe they could fix that. He impressed me in the Trout fight, but dang he didn't even show up against Money.

I'll +1 this. I thought Angulo was going to give him hell too but for some strange reason a piece of complete sh*t showed up instead. People can say what they want about Lara, but I think he is a heck of a fighter. Canelo is really not taking it easy and that is very rare for a guy who has a fanbase and could conceivably take a bunch of shot, soft touches (which perhaps Angulo turned out to be, and I guess what Mosley was).

He's a flat footed fighter who does great against guys who stand in front of him. He tied to outbox a master boxer, canelo on his best day wasn't going to outbox mayweather.

Lara will be a true test to see where canelo is. This is one of those fights I see Lara outboxing canelo but still losing the fight. I'm surprised he's taking this fight, it's a high risk low reward fight.

he was drained to a corpse against pedjr.

technically, per pedjr's own standard, drainelo is still undefeated.:good

    Trout - #1, 2, or 3 JMW depending
    Mayweather - #1 P4P
Angulo - fringe top 10 JMW
    + Lara - #1, 2, or 3 JMW depending

All very different styles, too, with three of the four being more "boxers" than "punchers."

    Impressive recent run indeed...
