Angulo late stoppage. He's looking huge, first time Canelo has fought someone bigger than himself

I'm going with Canelo by MD but it's going to be one hell of a fight!

I really don't know what will happen in this one. Canelo's feet are very planted and he only really works 1 minute if that of every round. Against Trout you could see his feet were planted and he was just trying to slip his shots because he didn't have the energy to move his feet or punch back.

If he boxes like that against a pressure fighter who throws hooks he will be in trouble but I haven't seen much of Angulo so I can't say.

Hope to god Canelo wins, Broner is clearly done as being a potential star, our sport needs Canelo to succeed let's be honest once Floyd and Pacquaio retire he is the only one likely to really crossover and be a major superstar, For that reason i badly hope Canelo wins, be a big blow to boxing's future if Canelo looses all star power. I think he will win aswell, he isn't average as people make out, He did beat Trout, he has his weak aspects but people seem to be dismissing him after Mayweather as nothing, Angulo isn't exactly anything amazing Canelo should have to much and stop him.

I don't think he is a massive hitter or anything i just think Angulo with his chin is a stoppable opponent for Canelo, Saul dropped Trout and if he connects clean he will hurt you. No doubt Lara has had way better competition and he would definitely beat Canelo IMO. Canelo beat Trout in my eyes watched it on a repeat with sound off and i gave it 115- 113 Canelo. Saul's biggest problem is his stamina, it is very poor and what you say is very true Angulo puts on big pressure and will test Canelo hard, if Saul gasses bad he will be stopped but i just think he will be ok to survive a few sticky patches and win either by late stoppage or close decision. Angulo can win and if i'm honest won't be shocked if he does but i'd see it as a 65- 35 fight in favor of Alvarez.

Fight undercard beginning to look shaky. What was advertised with 3 world title fights looks now there will only be one title fight.:-(
It had such a great potential be a fan friendly event.

Angulo is as slow as treacle. Simply tooooo slooooow!

Handpicked for that reason by Canelo- rather in the same way that Mayweather handpicked Canelo so HE could look good.

The Molina fight is off according to his manager.

There are other exciting match-ups on the undercard that i'm far more excited about like Linares vs Arakawa, Alvarez vs Thompson and Vargas vs Cotto which all have the potential to be exciting fan friendly fights even if they lack any importance on a World level.

Canelo Alvarez vs. Alfredo Angulo - Light Middleweight.
Leo Santa Cruz vs. Cristian Mijares - WBC Super Bantamweight World title.
Jorge Linares vs. Nihito Arakawa - Lightweight.
Ricardo Alvarez vs. Sergio Thompson - Lightweight.
Francisco Vargas vs. Abner Cotto - Super Featherweight.

I think Alvarez will win comfortably, but it all depends if he is not too affected by the Mayweather loss because some fighters are never the same after such a convincing loss.

    The Molina-Charlo fight is off.
