whens he next out. Kris Hughes would be a good opponent and could be for the Celtic title and a British eliminator.
Think he'd be too strong for Kris- hughes is a tall lad for the weight though and boxes lovely. Stylistically think he'd struggle with Carl though.
Hughes has no kind of power any time I've seen him. The bare minimum he'd need is some pop in his dig to keep Carlos off him. Without that he gets badly KO'ed. He hasn't got anywhere near the skill level to outbox Carl so I'd say it would be a lopsided beatdown that lasts about 4-5 rounds max.
I was in his corner for the fight against the welsh kid and he can actually punch suprisingly well. That said having watched Carl go toe to toe with John Simpson your absolutely right its going take more then a heavy left cross to keep him off.
I'd never have guessed it from the little I've seen of him. He honestly doesn't look to have much pop at all. I'd have been interested in seeing Carlos and Simpson toe to toe though! :bbb
i don't think the problem is his punching power but he sometimes looks like he doesn't believe in his power or is too scared of commiting himself incase he gets hit back.
He needs a good challenge, and with the greatest respect to Kris Hughes, Frampton would be far too good for him.
Fantastic talent, definitley the best Irish superbantam out there at the moment and take into consideration that Casey is fighting for an interim world title next month...
