Carl Froch Book

Just remembered he brought out an autobiography recently, I'm thinking of getting it soon.

Have any of you read it? Is it any good?

I've read Hatton and Calzaghe's, how would you say it compares?

currently reading it at the minute, its ok, but I'd say Calzaghe's book is better imo.

 

I didnt think much of Calzaghe's to be honest. The Eubank and Benn bio's are the best I've read, well worth getting hold of. Didnt Amir have his out when he was about 20?!

 

Calzaghe's is a con.

I didn't mention Khan's because I thought it was pants. Just not worth buying at all.

calzaghe called RJJ shot in his book...then went to fight him a few years later...


Ricky's book is ok but he constantly says "im just one of the lads" - all the ****in time

 

Bought it today as it goes.

I'm 100 pages in already. So far so good!

 

Calzaghes is the most boring book I have ever read, getting picked on as a 14 year old is about as hard as it gets for Joe, decent fella Calzaghe but I like a bit of an adventure and story when I read a book his was dull and about as exciting as watching paint dry.

 

Better than all three I'd say, but that isn't difficult.

Hattons is basically:

"I shag birds"
"I drink beer"
"It's not a tickling contest"
"I beat Kostya Tszyu"

repeat to end.

 

i have read it i would say Eubanks is the best modern day british fighter autobiography

 

What about "I sniff coke"?

 

Going back to Calzaghe's book, I can't believe that they put **** like 'Sports Personality of the Year' and 'victor against Hopkins and Kessler' on the back and then only go up to Manfredo Jr..

 

I havent read Khan's, it might be interesting after the big fights he should have over the next 5 years but when it came out a few years back I thought who is that for? Cant see boxing fans buying it.

I agree with mstar, Eubank's is simply the best! He's had an amazing life, he's a hell of a character plus the book is well written.

Of course, if you want a real ******* read Raging Bull, but I guess most people on here have that on their bookshelf!
